Jamie Foxx… ruining careers ever since he got that damn Oscar.

Tell me what you think.

Before I talk about what’s new — everyone in the Northeastern Ohio area, please switch your channels to 43 UPN to watch “Such is Life” starring Kent, Ohio’s own Dr. Francis Dorsey and Cleveland’s darling — Carla Smith.

Also, since you’re online already — go to and check out “Real Talk” with myself and William Ketchum III.

“New Music Thursdays”

July 27, 2006

— July 27th, 2006 —

The good folks at The Room Service Group (whattup, Rubes!) hit me off with some music for your listening pleasure.

— In addition to being on the newest season of “Celebrity Fit Club” — duke is still a rapper… You can listen to his new song, “Lights, Camera, Action” — by clicking here.

— Still going strong even after the show is off the air (he’s probably eating off of those DVD risidual checks). The Bad Boy on Bad Boy South has a new burner for the streets. It’s called “Walk With Me” (not original at all) — and it features Mr. Get-Knocked Out, Roy Jones, Jr. and Juvenile. You can listen to this track below:

Winamp or MP3.

Kiddies, you can understand this next artists’ pain. Coming up underneath a “superstar sibling” can definitely be tough. Getting involved with the likes of Suge Knight and the gang culture out there on the West Coast can also be trying. But Ray J has persevered through it all. Even has a nice album that’s being slept-on heavily. Here’s goes of my favorite baby-makin’ songs that is his newest single.

Also, be on the lookout for some pictures from the 2006 JMC Summer Diversity Program and read that interview with Ms. Bria Myles. Also, an in-depth interview with Ms. Carla Smith, exclusive for Real Recognize Real, about her upcoming show — “Such is Life.

“Get Up!”

If I ever meet a girl who can do some of these moves in this video, but isn’t an uber-seventeen foot giant, I’m hooked!

“Someday… Oh, Yes… Someday…”

July 22, 2006

— July 22nd, 2006 —

I admire this man and his legacy. The same with anyone who paved the way, blood, sweat, and tears to inspire greatness in others and make progress for freedom for all oppressed people.

We are in need of heroes. The Malcolm’s and King’s have yet to be replaced, relived and put upon the world’s stage. There may be one coming. But that’s still a few years off and with the way things are going, we haven’t seen anything, yet.

I have tried to played my part in this game, but there is more that needs to be done. What are your thoughts? What do you think can be done?

Are we too late? Have BET and our own victim mentality ruined our chances at truly stepping up to the plate and realizing King’s dream by achieving it “by any means necessary”…?

What do you think?

“On My New York Ssssh….”

July 22, 2006

— July 21. 2006 —

As soon as I figure out to freak out that slide show on, you’ll be able to see all the flicks from this Summer and before.

You know I love New York. It’s always been home of the greats. I mean Busta Rhymes broke it down for you simpletons — New York ain’t done. Do I think that that’ll be the place where I will forever rest my head?! I really hope so, but you can’t call everything like Babe Ruth or Mike Jordan (both New Yorkers).

But the people there aren’t as bad as you make it and that is where all the movers and shakers are at. So, look out everyone, I will leave the Buckeye State for the Buck-Fifty one and I got my boots strapped up tight. Just let you know, I’m on my New York Ssshhh

“Fashionable Fridays”

July 21, 2006

— June 21st, 2006 —

I’m going to try a new section. Just to get the public’s reaction to something that I am feeling. This shirt says it all. What do you think? Will it look good on me?

“Is This Racist?!”

July 21, 2006

— July 21st, 2006 —

Happy Payday Day, people! Cash those checks and save them. You never know when those reparations may finally come through.

Anyways, shout out to my man, Kev G, he showed this to me about twenty minutes ago. So I ask the question to y’all…

“Could you lend a n*&$@ a pencil?!”
