“America Meet Tiasha Walker”

Tiasha… That Is…

“Engaging…” says Kent Lucas, is one word used to describe Ms. Tiasha Walker to the general public. A junior at Kent State University and a former member of the Golden Reflections dance team — this Cleveland-native can now be seen gracing the television screen in the new Lyfe Jennings video entitled “S.E.X.”

Having started modeling before the end of the Spring semester, Tiasha joined Angels Extreme Agency and began doing photo shoots. You can actually view the pictures on her MySpace page.

The assistant video director contacted the agency and told them they were in need of a girl for the video. The competition was on. Having to compete for the lead against another girl was an interesting ordeal for Ms. Walker, but she was up for the challenge. Going through grueling hours and having to endure the auditioning process, Tiasha won the part of the female lead and the rest is history.

Upon hearing that she got the lead, Tiasha, thought that “it was a joke.” Well, I guess the last laugh is all Ms. Walker’s — her video premiered on BET’s 106 & Park this past Thursday. A proud and very humbled Tiasha appreciated all the accolades that has come from her first video appearance and says that “this is not the last you’ve seen of me.”

It’s always good to see people making moves especially when they’re visable in the mainstream. Congratulations to Tiasha and good luck to the rest of your endeavors.
