As the year comes to an end, I have a lot to talk about, but Finals is approaching. Work has to be done. So, I’ll leave you with what should’ve happened to Kramer (if WWE was involved).

“Cheaters Will Cost You Your Heart”

November 5, 2006

— November 5th, 2006 —

Cheaters is a popular show where Joey Greco and private investigators look into the claims of infidelity from concerned lovers. For anyone who has watched the show, it is hilarious. Hell, I’m cracking up right now, as I’m watching an episode that I tivo’ed at my mom’s crib. But for all of the laughter, there is a seriousness to it.

Are relationships worth it anymore?

The show may be a microcosm of what goes on in the households of America, but, who’s to say that this isn’t a majority trend? According to Peggy Vaughan, author of The Monogamy Myth, 50 to 65 percent of husbands and 45 to 55 percent of wives become extramaritally involved by the age of 40.

Cheaters has everyone from gays to straights, young and old, all finding out that their lover is getting or giving the sausage to someone else. The episode that is on right now has brothers fighting. Why?

Because the younger brother was sleeping with his older brother’s girl. The funniest thing is how whenever they get caught, they get mad at the camera crew. The camera crew?! They just along for the ride, playa. Be mad that you didn’t scout that house properly, while they had cameras in the crib filming you. Be mad that you didn’t cover your tracks as those P.I.’s followed your every move. Be mad that you didn’t have the balls (women included) to stay faithful to the one that you decided to be in a relationship (or marriage) with.

Watching this show allows you to get an inside look at heartbreak in its truest form. It is a human car wreck. You get to see best friends stab each other in the back, co-workers, family members — the whole nine, and it makes for great entertainment. But it is real life. Real feelings are involved. The show throws salt into the homes of America, if they allow it to poison their relationship.

The will power of men and women, alike, is hilarious. Trust is a key, once lost, it can be hard to find and once found — the lock may be changed. Cheaters gives the viewer the ingredients to take a look at their own union. But is it warranted? Suspicion and paranoia tend to go hand in hand, particularly when it comes to matters of the heart. Besides — not everyone has access to Joey Greco’s team of cameramen and spies, so… just because you have a “hunch”, it may not be accurate.

If you allow a television show to rule your relationship, you deserve whatever you get out of it — good or bad. The fights and intrigue are all enjoyed while watching in the comfort of your own home, but when it’s your house that is burning — your heart is too heavy of a cost to pay.

“New Music Thursdays”

July 27, 2006

— July 27th, 2006 —

The good folks at The Room Service Group (whattup, Rubes!) hit me off with some music for your listening pleasure.

— In addition to being on the newest season of “Celebrity Fit Club” — duke is still a rapper… You can listen to his new song, “Lights, Camera, Action” — by clicking here.

— Still going strong even after the show is off the air (he’s probably eating off of those DVD risidual checks). The Bad Boy on Bad Boy South has a new burner for the streets. It’s called “Walk With Me” (not original at all) — and it features Mr. Get-Knocked Out, Roy Jones, Jr. and Juvenile. You can listen to this track below:

Winamp or MP3.

Kiddies, you can understand this next artists’ pain. Coming up underneath a “superstar sibling” can definitely be tough. Getting involved with the likes of Suge Knight and the gang culture out there on the West Coast can also be trying. But Ray J has persevered through it all. Even has a nice album that’s being slept-on heavily. Here’s goes of my favorite baby-makin’ songs that is his newest single.

“Before The Clock Ticks”

January 26, 2006

— January 26th, 2006 —

Reality television shows have been around for awhile. Since the creation of those hidden reality prank TV shows, execs and advertisers have ran with the ball and knocked it out of the park at least 8 out of 10 times.

One of those homeruns was “The Real World”. Although I loathe the show now [although I find the Inferno to be quite hilarious], “TRW” provided us moments that no one could quite forget [remember when ole boy slapped that girl in the face?!!? Surprised he wasn’t lynched].

With the Bachelor, The Real World, Wife Swap, and even that home-making show on ABC not captivating enough to maintain my attention… what do I watch?!

VH1: Celebrealities

I thought that Hulk Hogan’s show was alright. That Brady Bunch joint was trash. Celebrity Fit Club is bananas — both last season and this season. Harvey is a mean looking dude. In a one-on-one fight though… he probably would kill me. When he gets mad, he looks similar to a certain enemy of a certain former action hero movie star.

But the show that I am really diggin’ is… Flavor of Love. The Chicken episode is undoubtedly a classic. But what’s the point of this long diatribe, you ask?

Well Bo and I were talking and I came across a photo of Cristal Stevenson [also known as “Serious” to those who watch the show. Much props to The Justus Leage for these flicks.

[Disclaimer: For those viewing the site — these pictures should be viewed by those 18+ or older.]

Since Serious’ time ran out [seriously… haha!] — I guess a way to go is to give tribute to the model… also known as “Serious”.

On the site the pictures were posted some time in November. So, I don’t know how old or new these pictures are. Just found it interesting, that’s all.
